If you’re like me, you don’t have much education in how to code. So its up to you to pick it up on your own. You could buy a book, but not everyone learns very well that way. There is a great website that I use sometimes when I’m trying to learn a new language, http:///www.lynda.com. The service is only $25 a month and you can learn tons of languages like, python, perl, php, objective-c, iphone development, and more. Check it out, its a good place to start.
